Exploring The Environment For Solutions - Chisasibi Eeyou Resource and Research Institute
The Chisasibi Eeyou Resource and Research Institute (CERRI) is a non-profit indigenous organization dedicated to research, education, and action related to environmental issues in the Chisasibi Eeyou region. Our mission is to build scientific capacity within the community and to involve youth in research to create a better understanding of our local environment.
We work closely with the local community to ensure that our research is relevant and effective. We also strive to involve local youth in our research, in order to empower the next generation of leaders and scientists. Our research is always conducted with the utmost respect and regard for the land and its traditional inhabitants.
CERRI was founded with a passion for the environment, community and sustainability. Our organization is dedicated to conducting research and developing strategies that responsibly utilize our natural resources while preserving the culture and way of life of the James Bay Cree. Our team works tirelessly to provide valuable insights and empower our community to make informed decisions for the betterment of our environment and community as a whole. For nearly 8 years, we have been committed to developing sustainable practices and preserving our natural resources.
